On July 24, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, issued Resolution No. 212-2020 and published a draft decree adopting the Emergency Regulation establishing prior controls on business concentration operations. The text proposes that all economic agents offering or demanding goods or services on the market, when they carry out a business concentration that has or is liable to have anti-competitive effects in the national territory, should be covered. In this line, it establishes, among other points, rules for calculating thresholds, detailing the procedures required to authorize economic concentration operations.
