BOL. Sanctions for pharmacies that sell medications without authorization
25 octubre 2017

On October 19th, a plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies approved sanctions of 1 to 3 years in prison for any individual – whether owner, manager, or employee – who dispenses medications at a pharmaceutical establishment without complying with the special legal provisions in effect. The text, which is part of the Criminal System Code, also establishes that the manager or owner of the pharmaceutical establishment will be ineligible to practice professionally for a period of one year.

Following its review by the Chamber of Deputies, the measure will be forwarded to the Senate for approval.
