ARGENTINA

The Senate has postponed its debate of the bill for “strengthening the sustainability of the public debt”, authored by the Executive branch to Monday November 30. Access the text under review here.

It should be noted that the session was scheduled for Thursday November 26, but due to the death of Diego Maradona, the senators will instead spend the session paying tributes to the late footballer.

The public debt initiative aims to strengthen the institutional role played by Congress in defining and authorizing policies on national public foreign-law debt in foreign currency and in the approval of all public credit operations and/or financing programs formalized by the Executive Branch and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
