On October 20, the Financial Regulation Unit (URF, for its acronym in Spanish) published an updated version of the 2020 Regulatory Agenda, including a reference to Promoting Digital Transformation during the fourth quarter of the year, for which the URF will be undertaking a study on open banking and account portability. The Agenda is expected to be shared in the coming weeks.

Additionally, in order to expand and strengthen the investor base, the URF will carry out a study on management standards and securities intermediation and analyze corporate governance in order to bring the country’s financial sector into line with international standards.
