On February 24, the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa in Portuguese) published the opening of a public consultation process on Good Practice requirements for the distribution, storage and transport of medicines. The initiative seeks to modify a 2020 resolution that provides for good practices for the storage, distribution and transportation of medicines. Among the changes, it seeks to add that companies that transport medicines must allow access to medicines only to authorized and qualified personnel. 

It also seeks to add that passive or active temperature and humidity control systems that are necessary to maintain the conditions required by the sanitary registration, or other applicable specifications, may be eliminated not only when using qualified transport conditions for the route, but also when the conditions are technically justified by the manufacturer.
