As of June 1st, 2018, the Ministry of Health will implement the Single Foreign Trade Window (VUCE) project at the national level. According to the General Directorate of Medicines, Foods and Health Products, the measure will apply all companies that request the “import permit for medicines, cosmetics and hygiene products”.

The application can only be made electronically, through the SIGA portal (Integrated Customs Management System). The objective is to streamline the transactions of the agencies involved in foreign trade and international transport, unifying all customs procedures in a single channel.

In this way, the Ministry of Health seeks to strengthen the sanitary control of the entire drug import chain. This power is established in the General Health Law N ° 42-01
