On July 24, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, issued Resolution No. 212-2020 and published a draft decree adopting the Emergency Regulation establishing prior controls on business concentration operations. Those interested in participating may send their suggestions and comments over the next 30 days. Access the text by clicking here.
The text proposes that all economic agents offering or demanding goods or services on the market, when they carry out a business concentration that has or is liable to have anti-competitive effects in the national territory, should be covered. In this line, it establishes, among other points, rules for calculating thresholds, detailing the procedures required to authorize economic concentration operations.
Those who wish to participate in the process may send their comments via email [email protected] until August 24.
