The extraordinary sessions will last until December 31, 2019. Although not yet approved by the Senate, the President appointed Zenón Alberto Biagosch, Claudio Martín Golonbek, Claudia Berger and Betina Susana Stein as directors of the Central Bank (Decree 43/2019), lawyer Marcos Eduardo Moiseeff as head trustee of the BCRA (Decree 42/2019), and, accountant Waldo José María Farías as assistant trustee of the same entity (Decree 41/2019).

Both the head trustee and the deputy trustee of the BCRA have the task of “supervising the entity’s observance of the provisions contained in the Organic Charter and other applicable regulations, as well as of informing the Board of Directors, the Executive Branch and the Honorable Congress of the Nation of the observance thereof”.
