On December 10 and 11, 2019, Panama will host the thirteenth version of Expologística 2019. The event, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Panama, is expected to draw some 5,000 participants. Expologística is a promotional event aimed at positioning the country as a strategic platform for logistics services in Latin America, where national and international experts will analyze the current logistical environment, electronic commerce, and new technological innovations, among other topics.

In addition, the event will allow hundreds of participants to network with representatives from maritime services companies, ports, software and technology, as well as customs brokers, airlines, cargo agencies, among others. This year, the conferences cycle has been organized into four thematic blocks: performance and expectations of the logistics sector in Panama; current issues and innovation; human development, communication and electronic commerce, as well as new markets.

Jorge Juan de la Guardia, president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP, for its acronym in Spanish), highlighted that the event seeks to promote the country as a major world-class logistics operations center thanks to its privileged geographical position, to ensure that industry maintains its growth, dynamism and innovation  to enhance the country’s competitiveness and economic development.
