On September 5, The Executive branch has announced that the cost of the wholesale Internet service in pesos provided by the state telecommunications company ARSAT is to be lowered and frozen. The Deputy Chief of Staff and Secretary of Government of Modernization, Andres Ibarra, said the cost will be lowered to $447 pesos (7,7 usd) per megabyte.

According to Ibarra, the price will remain at that level until January 31, 2020, and thereafter updated monthly based on the Consumer Price Index.
