The National Securities Commission (CNV) has launched a public consultation to examine a bill aimed at simplifying trading in fixed income negotiable securities. General Resolution 804 invites the public to post comments on the agency’s website until August 27.
The proposal takes into account current international practice and proposes the negotiation of fixed income negotiable securities without including interests accrued on the current coupon (“Clean Price”) in the price. This will allow the trading price of debt securities to be disclosed, a modality which is customary in foreign markets.
The CNV has the task of promoting, supervising and controlling the Argentine stock markets. which includes ensuring that the offer of negotiable securities receives equal treatment before the public. It is also a guarantee of market transparency.
