On October 14, the Stock Market Superintendency launched a public consultation on the draft resolution modifying the Market Regulations for Institutional Investors, the Alternative Stock Market Regulations, and the Regulations governing Primary Public Offerings and Securities Sales. Interested parties may submit their comments until October 29, at the following e-mail address: [email protected].

The draft includes provisions to regulate the registration of securities by the institutional investor segment with the Lima Stock Exchange Securities Register. An administrative procedure for securities registration was proposed requiring the prior approval of the Regulatory Quality Multisectorial Commission.

Regarding the Market Regulations for Institutional Investors, these will function according to a recognition regime, and therefore their registration is not required for their offer in Peru. The regulations also state that securities may only be advertised through an intermediary.
