On June 18, the Executive Power issued Supreme Decree No. 110-2020-PCM with a list of new activities that may be resumed as part of Phase 2 of the Resumption of Economic Activities. The measure was approved with the objective of ensuring production dynamics and reactivating the production cycle. Shopping centers, stores and food markets may resume activities as from June 22, 2020.

The Executive Branch authorized the opening of shopping centers, conglomerates and stores for direct attention to the public. They may open once they have registered their “Plan for the surveillance, prevention and control of COVID-19 at work.” Food court establishments located in shopping malls may only offer home delivery service with their own logistics, third party logistics or pick-up at the premises.

The decree also modifies the compulsory social immobilization schedule, and people must now remain at home from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the following day. Likewise, Sunday is the only day of the week on which social immobilization is compulsory for all citizens, meaning that they have to shelter at home.
