ARGENTINA

On August 26, the Superintendence of Health Services (SSS) approved, through Resolution 1088/19, the Superprevention System to provide financial support to Health Insurance Agents in the prevention of oncological pathologies, such as colorectal and cervical cancer.  The Ministry of Health and the National Cancer Institute are preparing to launch the National Cancer Plan on September 6 at an event in the Aula Magna of the National Academy of Medicine.

In order to guarantee the prevention and early detection of oncological pathologies, the SSS set up a new system to create two new programs: one for the Prevention of Colorectal Cancer and the other for the Prevention of Cervical Uterine Cancer. According to the Superintendence, this measure is a “first instance” with the objective of “extending the Super-prevention System to other pathologies determined by the Strategic Management Management.”

The National Cancer Institute will be launching a national plan to combat the disease on September 6. The event will be held at the National Academy of Medicine and will have multiple thematic tables, including the axes of the plan at national level and the articulations that will be promoted with different sectors of civil society.
