CARICOM positions itself as an intermediary in search of a peaceful solution

In a statement on the situation in Venezuela issued May 3 the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of non-interference and non-intervention in the affairs of other states.
Days later, in a meeting with members of the ICG, the President of CARICOM and Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Timothy Harris, expressed his support for the Montevideo Mechanism and declared: “We want to be an honest broker in the crisis.
