FAQ: What is the International Contact Group for Venezuela?
14 mayo 2019

The ICG was created at the beginning of 2019 with the aim of bringing the two sides of the conflict closer together, allowing the entry of humanitarian aid and calling for fresh presidential elections under international observation. So far it has not made any pronouncements regarding Juan Guaidó’s claim to the presidency of Venezuela. Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Uruguay participate in the Group, in addition to eight European Union countries: France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
