On April 10, the Financial Auditing and Control Committee of the Chamber of Deputies today approved injunction No. 19/19, through which legislators had requested a public hearing to debate the Government plan for Public-Private Partnerships. The date for the hearing is yet to be confirmed.
The committee approved holding a public hearing to discuss the National Government’s plans for concessions, privatizations and public-private partnerships. In reaching its decision it considered the views of Salim Mattar, Special Secretary of Privatization of the Ministry of Economy, and Joaquín Levy, President of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES). Although it is expected soon, a date for the hearing remains to be specified.
