B20 entrepreneurs make progress in drawing up recommendations on the digital economy

In the framework of the G20, from July 31st to August 1st, business leaders participated in the second meeting of the Task Force on Digital Economy and Industry 4.0. The event ended with a series of recommendations agreed by the B20 on the future of the economy, which will be presented at the group’s summit on October 4th.  


The main guidelines included in the list of recommendations include considerations on employment, connectivity, the role of SMEs, industries 4.0, cybersecurity and the cross-border flow of goods and services. At the same time, fintech companies were another topic debated and will be considered in the recommendations, along with the need to recognize their importance as a service to achieve financial inclusion in Latin America, where 50% of people are unbanked.


B20’s fourth Business Leaders Forum 2018 will be held on August 14th. However, the final document with the recommendations will be presented during the B20 summit that will take place on October 4th and 5th, in the City of Buenos Aires.
