By decree Nº 3.257, Nicolás Maduro appointed the architect Yomana Koteich Kathib as the new deputy minister of Finance, replacing Dixorys Cachima Castillo. In the public sphere, Koteich was president of the Venezuelan Agricultural Bank (Banco Agrícola de Venezuela) for a year and ten months. Also, she chaired the Regional Tourism Corporation of Nueva Esparta (Corporación Regional de Turismo de Nueva Esparta) and was Vice Minister of Tourism Commercialization at the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism.
In the private sphere, she appears as the vice-president of the distributor Tratevenca Corporation, C.A. (Corporación Travenca, C.A), with 10% of the shares. She also runs, with 40% of the shares, Equus Projects and Solutions, C.A (Equus Proyectos y Soluciones, C.A), a tourism projects consulting that has among its clients the government of the Capital District. In 2006, she was in charge of the presidency of Venezolana de Turismo, S.A. (Venetur).
According to the decree, the Minister of the Popular Power of Economy and Finance, Ramón Augusto Lobo Moreno, will be in charge of the swearing in of Koteich.
