The first meeting of the Executive Unit of the Management Trust was attended by members of the national health institution, the Superintendence of Health Services, and the General Labor Confederation (Confederación General del Trabajo or CGT) to discuss the implementation of Universal Health Coverage (Cobertura Universal de Salud or CUS).
The projects to be funded through the trust were presented and future meetings were scheduled to review these projects through open dialogue and exchange of information. The goal is for all individuals, especially those who are most vulnerable, to have access to quality services that they need throughout their lives.
Meeting attendees included members of the Executive Unit: the Assistant Secretary of Administrative Coordination, María Cecilia Loccisano, and the head of the Advisory Cabinet, Enrique Rodríguez Chiantore, both from the Ministry of Health; Superintendent Sandro Tarico and Administrative Manager Gerardo Gentile of the Superintendence of Health Services; and CGT representatives Carlos Frigerio and José Luis Lingieri.
In turn, the Ministry of Health approved the Operational Regulation of the Executive Unit of the CUS Management Trust to define the conceptual and technical framework to be applied in the implementation of the program strategy.
