The Executive Branch has just adopted Supreme Decree No. N° 120-2019-PMC, regulating the way in which the public administration’s interests are reported. It stipulates that officials with public decision-making power must report any interests they have in the online register of visitors to the transparency portal of each public entity.

The new Regulation stipulates that the Hearings’ Register must specify the date of any meeting, the identities of the participants from both the private and public sectors and the reasons for the meeting, among others.

The General Comptroller also signed an agreement with the civil association Empresarios por la Integridad to help detect and sanction acts of corruption when acquiring goods, providing services and carrying out works. The objective of the agreement is to develop collaboration mechanisms to combat corruption in both the public and private sectors. The agreement will have a duration of two years as from its signature.
