On June 13 the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), adopted Resolution 4505/2019, modifying the “Customs Transit Security Initiative” (ISTA). The objective is to improve service standards such as technology upgrades for goods transfer operations so as to enhance the quality of the information reaching the Single Customs Monitoring Center (CUMA). The measure came into effect today.

Under the regulation, ISTA providers must now register their Electronic Customs Monitoring Seal  (PEMA), in line with the requirements given on the ISTA microsite.
