On April 9, the Ministry of Economy approved the Provision of the Advanced Electronic Signature Certification Service, which will allow the use of the “ClaveÚnica” system to verify the identity of certificate applicants. The following day, the Ministry set the fees corresponding to the costs of accreditation and supervision of the Accreditation System for Electronic Signature Certification Service Providers.

In addition, the Executive stipulated that in order for the certifier or Certification Services provider to be able to use the system -known as “ClaveÚnica”- it must adhere to the conditions and terms established in that platform.

Lastly, the Ministry stipulated that certifiers or Certification Services providers have a maximum period of 90 calendar days to comply with this technical standard.
