With these inputs, they decided to pass three resolutions, including a request that the Executive designs a specific public policy on cybersecurity, with the aim of giving the Armed Forces greater capacity to act in the face of security threats to national security.

Delegates of the Executive explained that they are working to address the problem. In this regard, Mario Farren, Superintendent of Banks and Financial Institutions, explained that they are making progress in defining the regulatory aspects to “directly attack cyber-risks”.

Furthermore the presidential advisor on Cybersecurity, Jorge Atton, explained that he is working on “a strategy, which will be promoted through policies that will include concrete action plans”. This strategy will be based on the introduction of a battery of legal amendments to Congress in the next six months. New Computer Crimes and Critical Infrastructure Bills and a new Cybersecurity Framework bill will stand out.
