G20: Finance Ministers will advance in the study of recommendations to promote financial inclusion

On Saturday, July 21st and Sunday, July 22nd, the Third Meeting of G20`s Finance Ministers and Presidents of Central Banks will take place in Buenos Aires. In addition to the officials from the member countries  of G20, there will be representatives from the IMF, the World Bank, the OECD and the IDB. It is expected that delegates from governments and agencies will address mechanisms to promote international financial inclusion, risks and opportunities of the global economy and the global tax system. A document with recommendations will be presented at the G20 Leaders Summit that will take place on November 30th and December 1st. It is expected that, in this instance, the summit will adopt the recommendations.

The delegates will advance in drafting a document that compiles recommendations on public policies with the intention of facing the challenges of the technological transition to the 21st century. The document will focus on productivity, the role of workers, taxes and information.

The meetings of ministers that will be held this weekend in Buenos Aires will occur at the same time as a series of mobilizations that working organizations and opposition political parties will promote against the national and international economic agenda of President Mauricio Macri. They specifically reject the agreement signed by the Argentine Government with the International Monetary Fund.
