The Ecuadoran Ministry of Public Health and the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (Agencia Nacional de Vigilancia Sanitaria or ANVISA) are hosting a “Good Medication Manufacturing Practices workshop” in Quito from December 4-7.

Discussions will be held on air treatment, the production of highly sensitive medications, cleanliness validation measures, quality assurance, and validation and monitoring, particularly targeting analysts from Ecuador’s National Health Regulation, Control and Oversight Agency (Agencia Nacional de Regulación, Control y Vigilancia Sanitaria or ARCSA), who are responsible for business inspection and certification procedures for the execution of Good Medication Manufacturing Practices within the country.

The event is framed within the international technical cooperation project called “Technical Support to Strengthen Regulatory Functions for the Pre- and Post-Authorization of Medications in Ecuador,” started in 2011.
